The end of the scientific method.

The scientific method has served as the catalyst for much of human knowledge for the last 400+ years, however, ...the scientific method is a way of knowing, but it has been based on how humans know. Once we add a new kind of intelligence, as described by futurist Kevin Kelly, into this method, it will have to know differently. At that point, according to Kelly, everything changes.

Kelly say's 'It is hard to imagine anything that would "change everything" as much as a cheap, powerful, ubiquitous artificial intelligence — the kind of synthetic mind that learns and improves itself.' his vision is not of some super-human mind, oddly enough to Kelly, 'the greatest benefit of an artificial intelligence would come from a mind that thought differently than humans...' Plus, it would be free, yep free the currency of the new millenium.

I for one am hoping it arrives soon, or at least in my lifetime...and if it could come at the same time as my own personal Jet Pack too that would be hell-suhweet!
